cancer alert
I've been diagnosed with colon cancer, I knew maybe 1-2 years ago something was off, but I thought
it was just a part of getting older. The diagnosis still feels like it is for someone else. Friends and
family are definitely more concerned than me. I just want the surgery, chemo and recovery done.
Move on. Putting it off because of a planned trip to Florida.
My priorities always seem to revolve around my curiosity for what is around the next corner.

Retiring
I feel strange writing of retirement, owning my small biz was great, but it was always a hustle.
Unless I was taking a trip (I did many, fortunately ) I was always 'working', but it didn't feel
that way. Most of the 90's and up until around 2005 things were great and the good times would
never end. Until it did. I didn't save much, then went into debt to save it, hustled for 9 more years
and it ended Nov 22 , 2014. Closed. Bankruptcy. Divorced.
So then 3 years of hustle and saving enough and some health problems, I decided to buy a van and
convert it, put a bed in, supply it and start traveling.
Starting with Michigan in the summer, clear to Pictured Rocks. Hiking 40-50 feet above the lake
in the quiet of a day really makes you think. About nothing. Wonderful. No hustle.

Starting a Blog
So I have taken the task of starting a blog on the experience of getting older. In itself, writing a blog for me will be difficult, laying it on the line for all to see. I have no experience in writing, but I do have experiences, some good and some bad to draw upon.
Do I write long or short ?
Do I add pictures or not ?
Funny or serious ?
This in itself will be an experience. Can I do it ? Can anyone without any writing background do this ?
Will there be an improvement over time? Constructive criticism
is welcome-----maybe.
Till next time
